Every field job here is a real job
W-2 payroll, workers compensation, paid training and accrued time off. Fixed buildings and fixed crews, because that is what makes the work bearable and the result good.

What the job actually gives you
Commercial cleaning has a deserved reputation for treating people badly. Here is the specific list of things we do differently, and what proves each one.
Terms of employment
- A W-2 job, not a 1099 arrangementPayroll with taxes withheld, workers compensation cover, unemployment insurance, and a pay stub that a landlord or a lender will accept.
- A fixed building and a fixed crewYou are assigned to a building, not to a pool. You learn the building, the building learns you, and nobody is sent somewhere new at 17:00 on a Tuesday.
- Predictable hoursA published schedule. Overtime is offered and paid, never assumed. If a shift is cancelled you are told before you travel, not when you arrive.
- Paid training before you are put to workBloodborne pathogens, hazard communication, PPE, and site specific orientation, all on the clock and all before your first shift.
- Paid time off that accruesAccrual from the first pay period, plus paid Illinois sick leave. Time off is requested and approved, not negotiated.
- Equipment that worksMachines on a maintenance schedule, proper PPE, and a supply closet that is stocked. Broken equipment is our problem to fix, not yours to work around.
- A path to supervisorMost of our supervisors and two of our account managers started as technicians. Promotion is from within by default, and outside hiring for a supervisor role is the exception.
- Training in the language you work inSafety training, product labels and site orientation are delivered in English or Spanish. Safety instruction someone cannot read is not safety instruction.

Safety
Nobody is asked to work around a hazard
If equipment is broken, a chemical is unlabelled, a spill is outside your training or a floor is not safe to work, you stop and you call it in. That is not a courtesy, it is the rule, and no supervisor here has the authority to override it.
- PPE provided and replaced, not deducted from pay
- SDS binder on every site, in the closet, in both languages
- Machine certification before any solo operation
- Incidents reported the same shift, never the next month
Questions
About working here
Do I need experience?
Not for a technician role. Reliability, the right to work and the ability to pass a background check are the requirements. Cleaning technique is taught, and taught properly, because the method is what makes the difference and we would rather teach it than correct habits picked up elsewhere. Floor care, supervisor and account manager roles do want relevant experience.
Is this really W-2?
Every field position, without exception. We do not use 1099 contractors, staffing agencies or labour brokers for janitorial work. You are on our payroll, under our workers compensation policy, and you get a real pay stub. That is a deliberate cost decision and it is the reason our retention at 24 months is 91 percent.
What does the background check cover?
Criminal history and E-Verify for every hire, plus the state sex offender registry for anyone working an education account and additional screening for healthcare accounts. A record does not automatically disqualify anyone. What it does is limit which accounts you can be assigned to, and we will tell you that honestly at interview rather than after.
Can I work days instead of nights?
Day porter roles are daytime, and floor care runs a variable schedule that includes daytime work. Most nightly janitorial is evening work by necessity, because the buildings need to be empty. If daytime hours are a hard requirement, say so at application and we will only put you forward for roles that fit.
